I draw and illustrate using multiple mediums, but I paint in watercolor. I prefer watercolor over all other painting mediums, including oil, acrylic, or tempera, for its flexibility, its luminosity, but most of all for the challenges it presents. Watercolor can be capricious, difficult, and unforgiving until you learn the simple rule of letting the painting paint itself.
